The Colorado Respite Coalition (CRC) is a network of families and community partners who have joined together to support Colorado families who are caring for individuals of all ages with any special health care needs. This includes intellectual and developmental disabilities, aging concerns and memory conditions, chronic conditions, behavioral challenges, mental health conditions, physical disabilities, neurological conditions, terminal illnesses and more.
We believe that family caregivers need a break and deserve our support. The CRC understands the unique joys and challenges that family caregivers face. Respite is a short break for family caregivers caring for loved ones with special health care needs, enabling the caregiver to take a break and recharge knowing their loved one is in safe, quality care. We strive to improve respite access and awareness across the state.
